“Shen Sha Auxiliary Stars”
Powerful 神 Shen 煞 Sha Stars make all the difference annually. Shen Sha stars are like the “leaves” of the heavenly stems and earthly branches in the big tree of Chinese astrology and can provide detailed information in each Bazi analysis. During the Song Dynasty of China, Grand Master Xu Zi Ping, the author of the first comprehensive book on Bazi, dedicated the 3rd chapter to Shen-Sha Stars in his 6-chapter book. Today, the Shen Sha Stars is a large part of the annual forecasts, mostly referred to as Auxiliary stars. Shen-神 are considered auspicious, and Sha-煞 are considered inauspicious. There are 36 Shen-神 stars and 72 Sha-煞 stars, collectively known as 108 神-Shen 煞-Sha. The English translation of Shen Sha is Symbolic Stars. Many Feng Shui Practitioners wait for this information every year before preparing their Annual Reports. Master Perrie Burton will clarify the meaning and significance of these stars and how they can be used in your Feng Shui Practice. Also covered in the presentation will be the annual appearance of the Shen 神 Sha 煞 Stars. In addition, she will share a sneak peek at the Shen Sha stars for 2024, who will benefit the most, and how. Feng Shui From the Viewpoint of This Architect, Derham Groves will focus on feng shui and architectural form and symbolism. He will also speak of the history of feng shui in Australia, dating back to the Gold Rush. Instead of describing feng shui as a science, Groves believes it would be better to view feng shui as enhancing a sense of place.
Dr. Derham Groves is an architect and Senior Fellow in the Faculty of Architecture, Building, and Planning at the University of Melbourne. “Transference, Transcendence and Evolution in the Current Era: The challenges of Humanity through an Age of 9 / Age of 1 / Aquarian Lens”
Vic Ketis will outline select themes, both astrological and Feng Shui, as we have just entered the interface of the Age of 9 / Age of 1 in the context of a larger Aquarian emergence. This current phase was activated and propelled forward by the incredibly dense astrological signatures of January 2020 and most of 2021. What are some of the current themes and challenges in this evolutionary era that the ancients referred to as the Great Awakening, the Great Turning, the Ascension to 5th Density, the movement to New Earth, and so forth.
Vic Ketis is the founder and principal of the Australian Academy of Feng Shui, Chinese Astrology and I Ching, which presents courses and programs for practitioner training and general interest.
His other interests include the integration of Feng Shui with the principles of Sacred Geometry, and the synthesis of Chinese and Western Planetary astrology.He also teaches courses in The Philosophy and Divination of the I Ching and the Tarot.
Known as the ‘philosopher’, Vic is an expert advisor to the college who has been practising Feng Shui and Astrology since the early 1980s. Day Two “Period 9 and Bazi Charts”
Day THREE “Qi Men Dun Jia”
Period 9 and Bazi Charts: We are about to transition to a new period and it will bring about many changes to society and the way we do things. Period 9 represented by the Li trigram provides us with many meanings where many Feng Shui enthusiasts and consultants already know. Certain people and industries will stand to benefit more than others during this new period. This presentation will seek to explore how we can make use of this information and better inform others about the impact of period 9. Specific types of Bazi charts will stand to benefit more from this period than others. Bazi chart types and examples will provide a glimpse of what to expect in period 9 and how certain charts types will achieve greater success.
A comparative introduction to QMDJ (奇门遁甲) and DLR (大六壬)
QMDJ and DLR are 2 out of the three "styles" of divination that is widely used. DLR is known as the "King of Divination" system within the Chinese metaphysical world. On the other hand, QMDJ was used for strategy and war. When should we use one method over another? Should people who study Chinese metaphysics learn one or the other? This talk will explore the intricacies and details surrounding these two divination systems.
Jerry King is an international Feng Shui and Four Pillars practitioner, author, and teacher, based in Vancouver, Canada. Jerry travels extensively, consulting globally and obtaining research data and verifying theories of cosmic flow in the Four Pillars of Destiny. As a native Cantonese speaker, Jerry King has delivered Four Pillars of Destiny (八字), Qi Men Dun Jia (奇门遁甲) and Da Liu Ren (大六壬) courses in English, Chinese, and Spanish, explaining the subtleties and differences in interpretations through a logical and methodical way. Jerry has also written three books on Four Pillars of Destiny, Feng Shui and Qi Men; these works are original and the examples are verified through research and historical data.

Meet Lisa - I was instinctively drawn to Feng Shui, perhaps without realising it at the time. It offered me a way to implement balance and achieve some degree of harmony in my chaotic and frenetic life.
As a young girl, I was frequently ‘overdoing it’ or ‘underdoing it’. I hear you ask, but what do you mean? Well, if I was busy, I was insanely busy and if I was feeling lazy, then I took underproductive to the extreme. My life was always about highs and lows, burn-out, and boredom. There was no order and no balance.
I discovered Feng Shui in my late twenties after reading an article about the negative financial impact of a badly located toilet on a business. It intrigued me and rather oddly, seemed to make good sense to me at the time. Shortly afterward I hired a Feng Shui Consultant to conduct an audit of my home/office.
So began my journey of enlightenment into the wonderful world of Chinese Metaphysics. I began studying in 2011 and like so many of you found a like-minded community and a belief system that simultaneously inspired and intrigued me.
I adore the complex nature of this ancient system and its many layers and how you never stop learning because energy is constantly shifting and changing, nothing ever stays the same. However, the cyclical flow of chi creates a predictable pattern that we can use to assist us in navigating these unseen energies to create harmony and balance in our environment.
About eight and a half years ago a group of passionate like-minded individuals based in Newcastle, including myself, created the ChiChart app to help guide and align people using their elemental flow. It is a personalised date selection tool designed to assist them in planning daily, weekly and monthly activities so they can attract more balance, harmony, happiness, and abundance into their lives.
ChiChart activities consume much of my time as do my five children and seven grandchildren. I am constantly running between Newcastle and Sydney, still in search of that successful work/life balance.

Currently, he teaches (European College of FS) and works as a FS architect and consultant (ECOFS Consulting) in Berlin Germany. He is an Honorary Life Member of AFSC.
